Class Attendance

Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. Please report all absences via email to the studio.

Drop Forms

Dance season is Aug. 31-May 21st. When you register for classes, you are registering for the entire season. To discontinue classes and discontinue autopay, we require that you send an email to the studio by the 15th of the month to discontinue for the following month. *Please note, refunds are not given for missed classes. So if you do not want to be charged tuition we must have a drop email sent by the 15th

Tuition Fees & Payment

*Tuition rates are for the full season (including studio holidays), not by the number of classes in a month. A full season of dance includes a minimum of 32 lessons. Tuition fees are paid monthly or annually.

*After registering (paying for Membership fee and 1st month), monthly tuition will be paid 1 of 2 ways. 

-Cash or check must be made by the 15th of the prior month

-ACH, Debit or Credit will be ran with auto pay the 25th of the prior month (Sept. 25th run Oct. tuition)

*All FDC members must have a card on file

*Accounts not paid by the 5th  will incur a $20 late fee

*$30 fee added to NSF returned checks

*Any accounts not paid by final week of month results in dancer not being able to attend class

*Refunds are not given for missed classes

*Showcase Costume Fee: Half is due Nov 1, other half due Dec 1. If this is paid by cash or check,  you will receive an automatic 3% discount--Refunds cannot be given for costumes if they have already shipped. There will be a $10 return fee on all costumes.

*Membership Fee $30 (Family $45) due at registration *included with Membership fee this year is a free recital digital download!

*One promo code can be used a year

Rollover Registration

*For your convenience, and to reserve a space for the following season, annual membership fees will be automatically renewed and applied to your account on May 1, 2021 unless a withdrawal form is completed in the office before that date.

Back To Dance Night

This year,  we are having a big “Back to Dance Night,” and all ages and levels are requested to come. We will go over all important information, update your information, fit dancers for shoes and apparel, and meet the staff! TBD

*Emergency Communication: We will have a Red, Yellow, Green light system on the top right hand corner of all social media. Green means classes are happening as usual, Yellow means check your email, Red means stop 

*Questions-We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your dancer or our programs. Let us know if we can help you in any way!

Dress Code

Ballet: Solid black leotard. Please no attached skirts, glitter, or sequins. Pink tights. Pink ballet shoes. Level 2 and up, split sole ballet shoes required. Advanced ballet may wear any color leotard.

Jazz: Solid black leotard, pink or tan tights, tan split sole jazz shoes. Leggings, capri leggings, or bike shorts are permitted in this class.

Tap: Solid black leotard, pink or tan tights, tan split sole tap shoes. Leggings, capri leggings, or bike shorts are permitted in this class.

Hip Hop: Fusion t-shirt or plain t-shirt, black leggings and clean black tennis shoes to be used for hip hop only. Hair pulled up in ponytail off of face.

Pointe: Never buy shoes without consulting an instructor first.

Acro: Black leotard acro suit, hair pulled up off of face and neck.

Hair for ballet, tap, and jazz: MUST have hair neatly pinned and secured up off their necks in an acceptable ballet bun, brain, or twist.

No underwear should be worn under your leotard and tights! Tights act as underwear.

All of student's belongings must be marked with the student's name.

Do not wear jewelry to class.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent and a Facebook post will be made by 3 pm if classes are cancelled. Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings,  as roads are often cleared by the time studio classes begin.

Emergency Closures

(updated 7/21) In the event that we have to close due to illness or pandemic, classes will be held online with a condensed schedule. If the studio must be closed longer than 2 weeks students will receive a  20% discount.  All other policies still continue as above.

Safer Studio Policy

FDC requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill. In order to reduce community spread of Coronavirus, we follow best practices and recommendations from authorities and industry associations. FDC understands that unlike older children and adults, young children cannot be expected to maintain social distancing at all times. Therefore FDC focuses on a hierarchy of measures beginning with keeping ill people home, followed by frequent hand cleaning and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning, and curricular and facility adaptations to minimize contact and mingling where possible. All studio classes are backed up on an online learning platform. In the event a class is unable to be held at the studio classes will convert to an online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume. In the event a teacher is sick and a sub is not available, classes will either be on zoom or rescheduled.

Showcase

*Flips N Fun will be in February/March, with classes continuing until May 21

*Dance Showcase 2021 date is either April 30/May 1 or May 7/8 (Classes continue until May 21)

*We have multiple shows and dancers 6 and up could possibly be in multiple shows. We do not receive official paperwork from the school until Jan. We will try to make sure all siblings are in the same show.
